Carolanne Curry, Democratic candidate for the 26th state senate seat, is calling on her Republican opponent Toni Boucher to engage in seven debates, one in each of the towns that make up Connecticut’s 26th District.

“While seven communities share several common issues, each town has its own specific concerns that can be addressed on a state level,” said Ms. Curry.

“I look forward to discussing these specific concerns as well as the need to cap local property taxes, protect the public schools from excessive testing and privatization efforts, along with the urgent need to streamline the burdensome Medicaid qualification process impacting the elderly and their families.”

Connecticut’s 26th State Senate District covers Westport, Weston, New Canaan, Wilton, Redding, Ridgefield and Bethel.
